Check Apple Devices Compatibility:

1. Update Your Devices:

• Ensure your iPhone or iPad is running the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
• It is recommended to update to the latest software and operating system for optimal performance.

2. Home Keys Compatible Devices:

• To use Home Keys, ensure you have an iPhone XS or later with iOS 15 or later.
• You will also need an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 8 or later.

Steps to Connect Aqara Digital Lock to iPhone & Apple Watch:

First, Reset the Lock

To reset your Aqara Digital Lock, follow these steps:

1. Locate the Reset button on the back cover of the lock.
2. Press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds.
3. Release the button when you hear a voice prompt confirming the reset is complete.

Note: Resetting will erase user information, preventing the door from locking normally. Follow setup instructions promptly to reconfigure the door lock.

Device Binding & Initialization

1. Download the Aqara Home App
   • Search for “Aqara Home” in the Apple App Store or Google Play and download it.
2. Add the Device
   • Open the Aqara Home app.
   • Tap the “+” icon in the upper right corner of the homepage to add a new device.
   • For example – Select “Aqara Smart Lock U100” from the list of devices and follow the on-screen instructions to install the door lock.
3. Note on App Updates
   • The steps may vary slightly with updates to the Aqara Home app. Follow the latest instructions displayed in the app.

Add the User

1. Add the Door Lock Owner
   • Go to the door lock device page in the app.
   • Follow the instructions to add a user to the lock.
2. Important Note
   • The door lock will not function normally until a user is added.

Add the Device to HomeKit (for iOS users)

1. Bind HomeKit
   • After powering on the door lock for the first time, open the Apple Home app and tap “+” in the upper right corner.
   • Select “Add Accessory” or go to the Aqara Home app.
   • In Aqara Home, go to the door lock’s detail page, open General Settings, and tap Bind HomeKit.
2. Scan the HomeKit Code
   • When prompted, scan or manually enter the HomeKit code found under the battery cover of the door lock.
3. Follow the Instructions to Add Users
   • Complete the user setup as instructed.
4. HomeKit Features
   • With HomeKit, you can lock/unlock the device, set up smart automation, and enable Apple Home keys.

Add to Apple Home Key (for iOS users)

1. Set Up Apple Home Key
   • Once connected to HomeKit, a virtual door card will be created in the Apple Wallet app.
   • Use an iPhone or Apple Watch with the Apple Home Key feature to unlock the door by holding it close to the lock.
